Consultations & Classes
K9 Instincts will travel to your home to demonstrate how you can communicate with your dog's natural instincts. PAWS® is natural for your dog and results in a kinder, calmer, and more positive way to communicate with your canine family member. We will teach you to work with your dog to gain their willing cooperation without the use of force, gadgets, or pain. We are not able to offer specific advice without being able to meet with you and your dog in your home environment.
We teach PAWS®, which represents:
P - Perceived Danger & Barking
A - Appropriate Feeding
W - Walking & Recall
S - Separation & Reuniting
By following all areas of PAWS® you will be able to Gain the Willing Cooperation of Your Dog. It is not commands but how to interact with your dog(s) to get them to respond without the use of force, gadgets, or pain. You don't deal with just the individual symptoms of misbehavior, you work with the overall well-being of your dog(s). This is not an overnight fix but with consistent commitment on your part, you will see results within 3-5 weeks.
In-home consultations:
Option A - 2 visits with lifetime backup support - $400. The first visit will take 2-3 hours (or longer) as we will stay until you understand what you need to know. The second visit will be 3-4 weeks later to reviewPAWS®and answer any other questions after you've had a chance to apply PAWS®. Lifetime backup support allows you to contact us via phone/email for your lifetime (as PAWS® works with all dogs) without any extra charges. No more than 2 home visits are needed, but if more are desired by the client, they are available for $25 per hour.
Option B - 2 visits with 1-year backup support - $250. Same as option 1 except you only have backup support for 1 year via phone/email without any extra charges. No more than 2 home visits are needed, but if more are desired by the client, they are available for $50 per hour.
5-week class - $125. Each week you learn one area of PAWS®with the last week pulling all 4 areas together. This allows you to learn each area and apply it for an entire week before adding on the next area to the previous week(s). After the classes are completed, you have 4-months of backup support via phone and/or email without any extra charges. If an in-home consultation is desired after the classes are completed, a $100 discount will be applied to the cost of the in-home consultation.
We take cash, check, or credit/debit cards. A $50 deposit is needed to schedule an in-home consultation and classes must be paid in full before the first class starts. We can email a PayPal link to you which allows you to use your PayPal account or your credit/debit card. If you prefer to write a check, you can mail it to: K9 Instincts LLC, 302 Port Arthur, PO Box 83, Trimble, MO 64492. If the check is for an in-home consultation, you will be contacted to schedule your first visit. If it is for the classes, you will be notified your payment has been received along with class information.
In addition to families, K9 Instincts works with humane societies, rescue groups, animal care, and shelter facilities to improve behavior problems for all canines. K9 Instincts is also available to work with businesses where encountering canines may be part of their daily job, such as delivery personnel. These groups are requested to call or use the "Contact Us" page to inquire on fees for their specific situations.
