Dani Rouse, the Dog Listener of K9 Instincts, has her Advanced Certification in Canine Communications from Amichien Dog Listeners Ltd®.   Dani is one of an elite group of people in North America certified by Amichien Dog Listeners Ltd®, which is run by the world renowned Dog Listener, Jan Fennell.

      Dani has spent several years fostering dogs for shelters and rescue groups.  She found Jan's first book, The Dog Listener, and it made a lot of sense to her.  She started applying the techniques to her foster dogs and her companion dogs.

       She credits Jan's techniques with enabling her to rescue an abandoned pack of dogs after they had been left alone for approximately 5 months.  This canine pack of a mom and 3 pups had been surviving on their own and were leery of human contact.  Dani credits Jan's techniques with enabling her and another rescuer to gain their trust and rescue them in 2 weekends!  All of these dogs have now been adopted into their forever homes!

      After this successful rescue, Dani investigated Jan's techniques in depth and attended her Foundation Course in England.  After completing Jan's Foundation Course, Dani was invited back to attend the Advanced Course and received her certification.

      Dani has been honored as a Volunteer of the Year by the The Pet Connection at their Pet Humanitarian Recognition Dinner (www.pet-connection.com).
